Whoever you voted for this election, and there were some interesting candidates (FishFinger4MP anyone?), our Instagram feed was full of impassioned calls from women to use their vote. It seems incomprehensible that 104 years ago Emily Davison gave her life in the fight for women’s rights to vote. Thankfully we’ve come a long way since then, there’s is now a record number of women MPs in the House of Commons.
One way in which women are vocalising their support for one another is in the wearing and production of a new wave of slogan t-shirts. And it’s not just on Instagram that we’re seeing this. Dior’s first female artistic director sent models down the S/S17 catwalk wearing ‘We Should All Be Feminists’ T-Shirts. Now we’re not suggesting you spend £490 on a t-shirt, but it highlights the trend for wearing your heart on not just your sleeve. So in the spirit of the Spice Girls, bag yours, let your tee do the talking and lets all have a little girl power in our lives.
